Joy Abounds

I recently had to travel for work and while in the airport, I caught a glimpse of joy. A small toddler was taken out of her carrier and allowed to stretch her legs. As she ran through a crowd that I was a part of, under the watchful eye of her dad, the entire crowd parted so she could get to her mom. 

Toddling along - legs moving as fast as she could - she only had eyes for her mom, giggling as she rushed towards her. 

This scene is still with me weeks later. That an entire crowd of adults would split open to make room for a running, laughing toddler is such a beautiful image. And it lead me to wonder where in my life am I making room for joy? Where am I going out of my way to part the seas of all of the expectations in order to make room for joy to run?
